About
Yin yoga encourages us to practice and cultivate the stillness our busy lives often need. This class focuses on nourishing the soft tissues of the body through static passive postures. It often involves longer holds (3 – 5minutes) with the use of props to allow you to find as much comfort as possible while you stay for the time these tissues need. Physically a yin yoga practice helps to improve joint mobility, rehydrate and strengthen connective tissue and enhance flexibility and mobility. Combining this with the potent practice of meditation will leave your nervous system feeling regulated. This class is open to all levels, ages and stages, new and continuing practitioners. If you have any injuries, mobility limitations or uniqueness in the body, please have a chat with Ashanna before class so that she can assist you with modifications to support your wonderful body.
